Power Light Emitting Diode (LED)

Curing Light

CORDED/RECHARGEABLE

Cures Composite in 5 seconds

This is A NEW technological approach for curing light activated biomaterials. The new light-curing unit is based on blue light emitting diodes (LED).

The main benefits of light emitting diode technology are: long life span, no need for filters or cooling fan and virtually no decrease of light output over the lifetime of the light curing unit.  The fact that light output is consistent over the life span of the unit ensures that cured material is always fully cured.  LED curing lights

are 2-3 times more powerful then the halogen one.

The actual light intensity of Dent Zar’s unit is 900-1100 mw/cm².

The main problem with conventional halogen units is that the lamp, filter and reflector degrade with time. The heat generated by halogen lamps adversely affects filters and reflectors over time. Filters can undergo blistering, while reflectors discolor. This leads to a decrease of the blue flux and reduction in effectiveness of the curing unit. Also, the great deal of heat produced by halogen curing lamps requires intensive fan cooling.

Power Light Emitting Diode (LED) Curing Light Advantages:

* Corded/cordless permits intermittent use of the unit

* Fast & Efficient

* No heat (cool light source)

* No fan - no noise (absence of a fan allows the unit to be quickly and easily cleaned)
* Ergonomic design

* Light weight

* Stable output of visible blue light over the entire life span of the unit (light output decreases over time in

   conventional halogen units)

Display

1.  Pushing the P-ON/OFF button turns the Light Curing Unit on.

     Press P-ON/OFF button once; the unit will emit the light for 5 seconds.

2. Press P-ON/OFF button twice; the unit will emit the light for 10 seconds.

After the 5 seconds you’ll hear 2 beeps; but the unit will continue to work for another 5 seconds and then

it will shut down itself automatically.

You can stop the curing process at any time by pushing the P-ON/OFF button.

Maintenance
The LED curing unit is not autoclaveable. Before curing, please use plastic sheath to cover tip.  After curing, please remove the plastic sheath. Put the rubber cup on the head of the unit.

Plug the cord into the power supply.

Plug the power supply into a 230 V (or 110 V) wall outlet.

Put the battery into the charger, (First time use, the battery must be charged for a minimum of 8 hours!)

The green light indicates that the unit needs more charge.

The red indicates that the unit is fully charged.

A fully charged battery will yield 150 runs-10 seconds each.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

·        NEVER look into the light guide tip! The light is so powerful and it will harm your eyes!

·        Overheating - Please turn off the light curing unit for cooling down (overheating the unit will shorten its life span).

·        Don’t use in the presence of flammable material.

·        Make sure that specified charger is used for transformer and separate specified (power supply) used for the corded use.

·        Do not reach for the (LED) light that has fallen into water.  Unplug immediately.

Warranty
Under normal use without any incidental or consequential damage -1 year warranty.
